Obituary of Vera ALDERSON

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vera (Cooper) Alderson on Friday, November 30th, 2012, at the age of 85 years.
Vera grew up in Stretford, England and worked as a draftsperson where she met Richard with whom she loved to travel and raise their family. Richard and her family were the centre of her life. She enjoyed going on weekend trips around England with the Caravan Club and her family. Vera always kept her fondness of her native land after moving to Calgary in 1975 and later to Vancouver Island in 1999 from keeping a green garden to faithfully watching Coronation Street. She enjoyed nature, small adventures, beautiful scenery and loved fussing over any animal that she had close to her.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Jacquelyn (Peter) Schulz and June (Don) Hadfield; grandchildren Yvonne (Scott) Sherman, Melissa (Vincent) Cheung, Keven (Kristie) Schulz, Gareth and Rhianne Hadfield: great-grandchildren Clayton, Esme, Anders, Annika and Owen. She will be greatly missed by everyone around her.
Vera was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard on April 22, 1983.
Funeral Services will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queens Park Cemetery) on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queens Park Cemetery. Please forward condolences through www.hffs.com.
