Andrew Richard Zyla beloved husband of Cheryl Zyla of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the age of 60 years.
It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Andy. Although he would not win the war, his battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) was a hard and courageous fight. We will miss him so much.
Born in England and immigrated to Canada in 1964. He was raised and educated in Toronto. In 1978 he made the decision to head West to Calgary.
All his life Andy enjoyed all types of motor sports; his true passions were his work in the auto trade, cooking, photography and playing drums. Over the years he met so many wonderful people.
In 1992 Andy came across something very rare, a true Calgarian. Her name was Cheryl. She had joined his darts team and both knew something very special was about to take place. After several weeks of flirting with each other, Andy finally asked Cheryl “so when are we going to get this romance underway”
Andy and Cheryl were married in 1994, Andy devoted his life and love to soul mate.
He leaves behind to mourn his loving, caring, best friend and wife Cheryl; children, Justin (Lori); Cristyne (Jon) Steve (Jen) grandchildren Cameron and Adalyn; Thomas, Chloe, Aniya , Stevie Jr.; brother Chris (Jamie) and sister Moira (Barry).
