Eunice Vertue Girling beloved wife of Roy of Calgary, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016 at the age of 89 years.
Eunice was raised on various homesteads across Alberta. She Married Roy in 1949. She was a devoted Army wife following Roy throughout his 28 year career from St. John’s NF to Vancouver, BC. Eunice was primarily responsible for looking after the home and raising their child. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed the game, up until she developed Alzheimer’s disease.
The family would like to give thanks to staff of Morrison’s at Brentwood Care Centre with special thanks to Eunice’s companions, Marlene and Dora.
Besides her loving husband, Eunice is survived by her daughter Morgan of Seattle, Washington.
A Celebration of Eunice’s Life will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 2:00p.m.
