Obituary of Margaret Rita ROSE

Margaret Rose beloved wife of the Late Virgil Rose of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Peter Lougheed Hospital on Friday, March 23, 2018 at the age of 94 years.

Margaret was born November 13, 1923 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She worked at the Military Magazine during World War II and met her husband Virgil in 1944, while he was stationed in Halifax with the Navy.

Margaret always found pride and joy in her family and is remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She found comfort in her faith as a devout Roman Catholic.

Margaret will be dearly missed by her children, Ken (Sandy) Rose, Bev (Dan) Rollier, Barb Rose; six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sister Jean McCarthy as well as many other family and friends.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Virgil Rose; siblings, Jack Deegan, Ruth Nelson, Marie Smith and Lawrence Deegan.

To honour Margaret’s request there will be no service.

The family would like to thank all the staff at the Whitehorn Village and the staff of Unit 39 at the Peter Lougheed Hospital.
