Auntie Kay, as I called her, was a close friend of my mother, Helen Gammie. She and my mom were part of Sewing Circle, a group of friends that met monthly from their early twenties until they were well into their seventies. Auntie Kay and her mother, Mrs. Willis Harris joined our family for Christmas dinner and other celebrations for many years during my childhood. As I grew I up, and after she married Maurice, she continued to be close to our family. She is fondly remembered.
