Unfortunately I just found out about Don’s passing today (Monday). My heart goes out to Dianne and the family. Don was a part of my life in many ways .... from cubs to helping me with my first electrical job in Calgary. I look back on my times with him and Travis with great fondness, I was honestly just thinking about him yesterday.... while I have lost touch with my woodhaven friends, I think of Don when I am chipping on the golf course ..... Don gave Travis and I some advice I use to this day....

We are so very sorry for your loss. We remember Don fondly as a man who always had a smile on his face, a camera around his neck, and a welcoming, sparkling home.
Our warm thoughts are with you Dianne, and your family in this time of sadness.

Our families have been connected for as long as I can remember. Every Christmas and every major life event we came together to celebrate. So many memories with you in them. Always so strong, warm, kind and just knock-you-over hilarious. You leave an empty spot in my life, but stay in my heart forever.

I would like to express my sincere condolences to the Ward Family and the staff at Griffin Glass. I am thankful and proud to call Don a friend and colleague.
He set the bar very high for all in the glass and aluminum industry and his influence extended far beyond our local market.
I looked forward to his annual visit to Oldcastle's Stampede breakfast and can picture his warm smile and white stetson as I write this. We would catch up on the past years events and talk fondly of our mutual friends the Phelps family...I will miss those chats but am thankful for the opportunity to have had them in the first place.
He will be missed but never forgotten.
Sincerely,
Darren Peck
