Obituary of Darryl Robert DEKOWNY

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Darryl Robert Dekowny, son, brother, husband, father and grandfather on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the age of 52 years.

 

Darryl and his family moved in 1970 to Calgary where he has been a resident prior to moving to De Winton. He was involved in the motorcross scene to a great extent and continued to ride until recently. He enjoyed riding with his daughters. He also loved animals and had quite a few dogs along the way with his last buddy being Goober. He will be greatly missed by family and friends, many of those that he rode with at the Blackfoot track.

 

He is survived by his partner Denise; daughters Katelyn and Megan; four grandchildren, mother Irene; three brothers Dwayne (Donalee), Michael (Dawn), Dale (Julie); sister Kathy as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

 

Darryl was predeceased by his father Matthew and sister Debbie.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour (8831 Fairmount Drive S.E., Calgary, AB) on Thursday, November 01, 2018 at 3:00 p.m.
