Obituary of Douglas MALCOLM

Please share a memory of Douglas to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Douglas Ian Malcolm, loving husband of Leona for 42 years. He passed away after a short battle with multiple Myeloma at the age of 64 years. He had conquered colon cancer in 2007 and was given his five years clear this spring. Doug worked for the Calgary School Board for thirty-three years. He enjoyed playing pool, darts, old cars, collecting belt buckles and his Canadian Flag. He was a member of the 276 - 289 Legion for thirty-eight years and enjoyed the company of many great friends. Doug was very proud of his son and daughter’s accomplishments and proud to be a Grandpa. He will be greatly missed by his son Jeff (Lisa) and grandson Evan of Calgary; daughter Tammy (Bob) Reich and granddaughter Jenna of Stony Plain; sister-in-law Carol and Adrian Lawrence, nephew Don Taylor, niece Carey West and family all of Medicine Hat; as well as numerous cousins of the Forrest, Malcolm and Ash families. A Remembrance of Doug’s Life will be held at the Killarney Glengarry Community Hall (28th Avenue and 28th Street S.W.) on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m., with a reception to follow downstairs.
