It is with a grave heart that we share the sudden passing of our dear father, Gurbax Singh Ghali, at the age of 66.
Gurbax came to Canada over 40 years ago from Ghal Kalan, Punjab, India, and amongst many jobs, steadily worked as a Carman at Canadian Pacific Railway for 27 years, and then retired from work in 2004. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend. Also, he was a beloved and contributing member of the community, always helping anyone in need. The world is definitely a better place because of him and he will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Baljit; his son Sundeep (Jesse), grandchildren Kahrun and Kabier; and his younger son Navdeep (Simaran).
Funeral Services will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queens Park Cemetery) on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. followed by closing prayers at the Gurdwara, 81 Street and 7th Avenue S.W. (Old Banff Coach Road), Calgary, AB.
