Obituary of Victoria GIESE

Victoria Giese, beloved wife of Fritz, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the age of 74 years. Born in Romania, Vicky grew up in Germany and immigrated to Canada with her family in 1955 to Leader, Saskatchewan where she met and married the love of her life, Fritz Giese on June 16, 1956. Left to cherish Vicky’s memory are her loving husband of 56 years, Fritz; two sisters, Emily (Terry) Vold and Olga (Joseph) Hoehn; two brothers, Gustav (Sandy) Anhorn and Martin (Debbie) Anhorn; sister-in-law Hilde Anhorn as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. Vicky was predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Sophie Anhorn as well as her brother Berthold Anhorn. A Visitation will be held at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, 1708 – 16th Avenue N.W. (across from the North Hill Shopping Centre, Calgary) on Friday, September 28, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until 1:50 p.m. A Celebration of Vicky’s Life will follow at 2:00 p.m. Charitable donations in Victoria’s honor may be made to one’s favorite charity.
