Obituary of Dr. Ilona NAGY

Dr. Ilona Nagy passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the age of 73. Ilona is survived by her beloved husband Louis Neuwirth, three stepdaughters Kathy, Eva (Jeff), Susan (Steve) and four grandchildren, Kristina, Erika, Chloe and Jack. Ilona was born in Sàrospatak Hungary growing up with 2 sisters and 2 brothers and many nieces and nephews. After completing High School, Ilona obtained her Doctor’s Degree from the University of Medicine in Budapest Hungary, graduating in 1964 then practicing in Miskolc and Màtrahàza. While visiting her Aunt in Canada, Ilona and Louis met and later married in Hungary in 1976 returning to Calgary a month later to continue their lives together. In Calgary, Ilona worked at the Foothills Hospital until her retirement in 1994. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 9th @ 11:00 a.m. at the St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church (819 - 13 Avenue SW).
