Obituary of Clarence MILLER

At the age of 91, Clarence Miller passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 6th, 2012. .He was born in Calgary July 29, 1921.
At the age of 18 he joined the Army Service Corp and served in England for two years. Upon returning from war, he married Gertrude and they were together for 64 years. Clarence worked for the City of Calgary for 33 years and retired in the fall of 1979. He then started his own handy man business, which he operated for many years. Clarence loved being in the Rocky Mountains where he enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking and cross-country skiing. He enjoyed woodworking and also completely rebuilt a 1948 Ford car that he won several awards for.
Clarence will be lovingly remembered by his four children, Thelma, Deanna, Ron and Teresa; as well as twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Gertrude, infant son Robert, brother Burt and sisters Ruby and Thelma.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a Memorial Service at November 17, at 3:00 pm, at Westview Baptist Church, 1313 Ranchlands Way N.W., Calgary.
