Obituary of Henry EVERDING

EVERDING, HEINRICH (Henry) November 23, 1925 – December 18, 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Henry Everding on December 18, 2012 at the age of 87. Born November 23, 1925 in Probsthagen, Germany, he met and married the love of his life (Emmy) and they shared 60 years of marriage together. In 1952 they immigrated to Canada and made Calgary their home. Henry was dedicated and worked hard to provide a good life for his family. He spent many years working in construction as a journeyman cabinetmaker and later became self employed. One of his passions was to study electronics which he did by correspondence, which eventually led him to building his own TV. Henry was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather (Opa) who will be lovingly remembered by his son; Heinz (Carol) Everding; his daughter Shirley Lalonde; 4 grandchildren; Robert and Ryan Everding and Paul and Christine Scigliano, all of Calgary. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Linchen Everding, niece Rita (Horst) Auhage and their children, as well as many other nieces, nephews and friends residing in both Germany and Canada. He was predeceased by his wife on July 1, 2011 as well as his brother Fritz and parents Marie Sophia and Henrich Everding . Special thanks to the staff at Scenic Acres Retirement home as well as the Sarcee Hospice. A private family service is being held on Dec. 21 at Queens Park Cemetery, 3219 4 St. NW.
