It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edith Margaret Eby, of Calgary, who left us on Saturday, February 16, 2013, at the age of 99 years.
Born on Manitoulin Island, Ontario, Edith moved to Kitchener ON, and married her husband of 60 years, Gordon Russell Eby who predeceased her in 1996. Left to mourn are her daughter, Janet Forden (Jim) of Okotoks AB; sons Peter Eby, Regina, SK and John Eby (Daina), Victoria BC; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Ronald Bock, Elmira ON; and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
During their lives Edith and Gordon lived in Kitchener ON, Calgary AB, Regina SK, Belleville ON, and Cranbrook BC. Edith made close and lasting friends wherever she went. She was a loving, wise and talented mother and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. If desired, memorial tributes may be made to a charity of your choice.
