Obituary of Gregory BIRD

With his wife and best friends by his side, Greg peacefully passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at the age of 47. Greg is survived by his wife Sue (Tuttle); parents Bertha and Ed Bird; mother-in-law Dell Vancise; sister-in-law Laura Fraser; best friends Carey Clenchy and Warren Johnson; brothers-in-law Jim (Lynn) Tuttle and Jeff (Dora) Tuttle; nephews Jordan, Nathan, Kurtis, Scott and Jack, and niece Sarah; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Most important to Greg were family, friends and racing (and not necessarily in that order). Greg will forever be remembered as an amazing husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and loyal friend. Greg always had a smile on his face, always had a positive attitude, was always ready to have fun, and was kind and gentle to everyone around him, always thinking of others before himself. He was an inspiration to everyone he met. Greg taught each of us how to live life to its fullest. He had an incredible gift for connecting with people of all ages, particularly children. Greg was a long time volunteer with Dreams Take Flight, making not only many magical memories for kids but also many lifelong friends. Greg and Sue were blessed to have the unwavering support of Alamo Industries Ltd., the Johnston family, and The Calgary Polo Club.
