Obituary of Dean HAWKINS

Dean Hawkins, May 3, 1954 - March 16, 2013 Dean Hawkins (Dino) was born, raised and lived his life in Calgary. Dean died suddenly of a heart attack and was predeceased by his mother Violet and his father George. Dean is survived by brother Barry (Sherry) plus niece Willow and nephews Duncan and Rick plus Dean's uncle Hank (Cec) and a number of great nieces and nephews. Dean attended St. Francis High School and had a love of auto mechanics and electronics. Perhaps his greatest passion was for the game of pool. Dean competed in many city, provincial and international tournaments with a great deal of success. When not competing, Dean would take on the role of referee. Dean's career started in the field of auto mechanics but evolved into the field of electronics ultimately seeing Dean start his own electronic repair company. In lieu of flowers or cards, people wishing to acknowledge Dean's life can make a donation to the Heart and Stroke Fund www.heartandstroke.ca or the Diabetes Association www.diabetes.ca. Family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. C. Heaton and her staff. Dr. Heaton provided care to Dean for many years and we know Dean thought very highly of Dr. Heaton for that care and friendship. A gathering to celebrate Dean's life will be held at a date to be confirmed.
