Obituary of Anne Isabelle LINDSAY

Please share a memory of Anne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Anne Isabelle Lindsay, beloved mother of Michael and Patricia Lindsay, passed away surrounded by her loving family, after a valiant battle with metastatic breast cancer on Friday, January 23, 2015 at the age of 77 years. Anne was born and raised in Calgary, attended Western Canada High School, followed by Mount Royal College graduating as a legal secretary, while playing basketball for the Mount Royal Cougars. Her career spanned thirty-five years, primarily as a Legal Secretary at Imperial Oil. Anne was a highly skilled and dedicated professional, admired among her many colleagues. In 2007 Anne and Warren sold their house in Calgary and moved to Truro, Nova Scotia, where they enjoyed five wonderful years prior to Warren's passing. Anne returned to Alberta, in February 2014 and reconnected with her dear friend Pamela Miller. In May she moved into Amica at Aspenwoods, quickly becoming a favorite among the wonderful staff and residents. Anne loved nothing more than spending quality time with her family and friends. A good book, a cuddly dog and cat, life was good. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law Michael and Delphine of Las Vegas, NV, daughter Patricia of Calgary, and many loved family and friends that walked through the door on Westover Drive. Anne was predeceased by her loving husband Warren in July of 2012. At the request of Anne, there will not be a memorial service. Please forward condolences through www.calgarycrematorium.com. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Pacific Assistance Dogs Society at www.pads.ca. Sincerest thanks to Dr. Zaidi, the amazing staff and residents at Amica, the care team at Unit 66 at the South Calgary Campus Hospital, Dr Brian Stewart and the palliative care team, Rob and his assistant dog Glimmer and Ross and his assistant dog Briar of the Pacific Assistance Dog Society for their comforting visits during this difficult time.
