I was so sad when I learned of her passing. Pia's passion for life was second to none. Goodbye Pia.

I was deeply saddened to hear this news, more so that I only learned of this today almost 1 year after her passing.
Pia was one of the first people I met when I started to volunteer at an organisation she was working at supporting people living with a life altering illness that over the years has now become a chronic illness.
Her warmth, smile, wit and unrelenting commitment and support to the people she was there for was admired and left an indelible imprint on who I am today and what I wanted to do for others in the same organisation.
I am sad to hear she has left this place for another but grateful knowing she left an imprint on people like myself before she did.
Sincerely
Mark Randall

Miss you my friend... thought of you today when I heard of David Bowie passing away... maybe you will get to meet him in person now! Lots of love...

I wish to extend my condolences to the Anderson family, friends, and loved ones. Pia and I first met at Nursing school. So, many years ago now. She certainly had a sense of style and adventure. Pia helped me quit smoking with a giant, I mean, giant jar of smarties. I can remember going to her apartment in Kensington and visiting with her many pets; especially, Wolfe the parrot. Her love for animals was apparent. I had last met Pia at a dog training club in Calgary where I was so excited/happy to see her. I hugged and kissed her and told her I loved her...
I will always remember her smile and giggle.
What a wonderful spirit we have lost...
