Peacefully on February 11, 2015 with his family by his side Paul Frederick MacKay of Spirit River, Alberta passed away. Paul was formerly from French River PEI. He was born in Summerside, PEI on February 26, 1957, son of the late Hollis and Bertha (Lamont) MacKay of French River.
Paul is the loving father of Paige MacKay, Ashley Dunn, Garrett Bassani, and the late Morgan Paynter.
He is survived by brothers and sisters; Dale (Carolyn) MacKay, Glen (Barb) MacKay, Valerie (Les) Oakes, Kent Mackay, Jennifer (Ron) Murphy, Jacqueline (Glen) MacKay, Chris (Janie) MacKay and Clark MacKay; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Paul was predeceased by his brother Douglas MacKay.
In honour of Paul’s wishes there will be no service held.
God saw you getting tired
When a cure was not to be
So He closed His arms around you and whispered
“Come with me”
You didn’t deserve what you went through
So He gave you rest
God’s garden must be beautiful
He only takes the best
And when we saw you sleeping
So peaceful and free from pain,
We could not wish you back, to suffer that again.
