Obituary of Hiroshi TOMIMOTO

Hiroshi (Jim) Tomimoto passed away peacefully on February 16, 2015. He was born in Shingi-Shu, Korea on January 2, 1922 and immigrated to Canada when he was 17. He worked as a chick-sexor and was in charge of all the chick hatcheries in southern Alberta. Jim was predeceased by his first wife, Chiyeko and daughter Diana. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Reiko, his children, Joyce (Hans Kreuz), Sylvia (Doug Welsh), Bryant (Marilyn Whitehead), Karen(Ken Yip), 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, sister, Yukiko, two stepdaughters Elaine and Carolyn along with many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service celebrating Jim’s life will be held at the Calgary Golf and Country Club, 1 1/2 blocks west of the intersection of Elbow Drive and 50 Avenue SW. on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
