FEIST (nee BENNETT), Shelby Jean January 11,1939 - Liverpool, Queens County, Nova Scotia February 20,2015 - Calgary,Alberta It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Shelby Jean, our loving wife, beloved sister, mother and grandmother at the age of 76 years. She passed away peacefully in the early hours of Friday morning, February 20, 2015 at Hillcrest Extendicare, after a lengthy illness. Shelby Jean was born in Liverpool, Queens County, Nova Scotia to Amos and Olive Bennett. She grew up during the war years in Beach Meadows, Queens County; and then attended school in Kempt, Nova Scotia. She lived briefly in Toronto and Kitchener until moving to Calgary in 1963. Her life was dedicated to her children Lou, Reg, Robert, and Jacqueline. Her passion was for knitting and crocheting. She made many sweaters, toques and mittens for friends and family. Shelby brought so much love to the lives of her family and everyone she met. In1976, she finally met her soul mate Pius (Terry) Feist; from that time on they made memories. They were married on November 27, 1981. Pius was by her side until the end. Besides her loving husband Pius (Terry) Feist, Shelby is survived by her daughter Lou Mullett (Toronto, ON); her son and daughter-in-law Reginald Daniel and DeAnna Bennett (Drumheller, AB) and their family, Reginald Benjamin (Jennine) Bennett, Daniel Bennett, Katrina (Shane) Gouy, Haylee, Colten, and Anna; son and daughter-in-law Robert James and Cathy Bennett (Surrey, BC) and their family Jamie Bennett, Tyson, Mackenzie, Linden, Janelle and Teri-Lynn Bennett; daughter Jacqueline Yvonne Bennett (Burnaby, BC); and her loving brother Reginald William (Carolyn) Bennett ( Milton, Queens County, Nova Scotia); brothers-in-law Anthony (June) Feist, Herman (Sharon) Feist, Francis (Gloria) Feist, Joseph Feist; Monica Feist, "Sister Theresa," "Sister Bernadette", and their families. She was predeceased by her parents Amos Benjamin Bennett and Olive Ruth Margaret Dorey; sister Hilda Mae Bennett; sister "Sister Pauline", brothers-in-laws Alphonse, John, and Leo Feist; their parents John and Theresa Feist. The family would like to express sincere thanks to the team at the Hillcrest Extendicare for the wonderful care which Shelby Jean received for the last two years. Cremation has taken place and her resting place awaits her in the Drumheller, AB. Cemetery. Relative and friends are invited to A Celebration of Shelby's life on March 28, 2015 at 2:00 PM 3219 - 4th Street N.W. Calgary, Alberta. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
