Obituary of James Charles RAYMOND

Jim Raymond, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away suddenly on March 4, 2015 at the age of 73. Jim retired from Telus (formerly A.G.T) in 1995 with over 34 years of service. He spent his retirement with family and friends pursuing his passions fishing, camping, reading history, traveling and visiting over coffee. While he enjoyed many trips throughout Europe, China, Canada, Mexico and America, he was most content cultivating his friendships, and lending a helping hand. He called it his vitamin-F (Friendship). Jim often worked behind the scenes, ensuring that needs were met and that laughter flourished. He will be greatly missed. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Hope Raymond, his eldest son J. Scot Raymond C.A., and daughter-in-law Wendy Raymond, his youngest son Dr. Dwayne Francis Raymond, and daughter-in-law Dr. Jennifer Rose Mercieca. He was blessed with three grandchildren: Robert Blake Stich, Mitchell James Raymond, and Victoria Morgan Raymond. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held in Calgary Crematorium and Funeral Services (Queen’s Park Cemetery), 3219 4th Street N.W. Calgary, A.B. on March 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.
