Obituary of Thelma Anne DODDS

Thelma Dodds of Calgary passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the age of 92 years. Thelma was born in Bow Island and later moved to Claresholm where she operated a beauty shop and met and married the love of her life Bill “Sam” Dodds. They raised their family in Claresholm and following Sam’s passing, Thelma moved to Calgary to be closer to her family. Thelma enjoyed travelling with her sisters to Las Vegas and Wendover and especially loved to be in the company of her children, grandchildren and friends. She enjoyed family gatherings and taking your money when playing cards. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all those who’s lives she touched. Thelma is survived by her loving daughters and sons-in-law, Marlynne and Dale Girling and their children Billy and Shane.; Carol and John Eason and their children, Kyle(Candice) and Alyssa; Great grandson, Silas; two sisters, Estelle Elofson and Doris Farvolden; sisters-in-law, Isabel Kletsky, Betty Bauman and Theresa Allen as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Bill(Sam); her sister Pearle and brothers, Merle, Stan and Bob. A Celebration of Thelma’s life will be held at her home (the Girlings) 56 Edendale Cres.
