My deepest sympathies to you Marg, Ken, and Dawn. I have a number of fond memories of Derek over these past ten or so years. We enjoyed coffee at Tim Horton's sometimes, or just a visit at his house. I loved the way he greeted me with his smiling face, and warm hearted words, "Hello my friend". He will be deeply missed.
