Dear Uncle Dick,
I am thinking of you and sending you love. I loved Auntie Ruby so much. You and Auntie Ruby were so good to me when I was growing up. I thought I was so lucky to have such a 'cool' aunt and uncle. I have so many wonderful memories of the times we spent together. Ruby's name suited her well. She really was a shining gem. As I think of Ruby I see her smiling. I remember her as a kind, gentle and loving woman.
It is so hard to lose someone you have loved and shared so much of your life with. I am grateful everyday for the blessing of memories. May you take comfort in your memories of Ruby and your life together Uncle Dick.

Uncle Dick and Family,
It is with great sadness I send this condolence, as you have lost a loving, caring wife and mother. I was your flower girl at your wedding and remember the day well and all the joy. I loved to be around Ruby while I was growing up and especially staying overnight because she was so kind and happy all the time.
Years later I looked forward to the Christmas card and letter getting me caught up on the family news for the year. I must also say that Ruby had the best hand-writing of anyone I have ever known.
I will miss Ruby and will remember her as a lady of integrity, gentleness and high values
Be at Peace
Lynn

Dear Dick(Mr. Nordquist), Randy and Sandy and families.
I was saddend to hear that Ruby (Mrs. Norquist) was ill and then a few day later to hear that she had passed away. Every time I think of my childhood, I can't help but think of the Norquists - playing with Randy and Sandy, always feeling welcome in her home and even sometimes being scolded - she was truly a mother to all the kids in the neighbourhood.
Ruby's wonderful smile always put a smile on my face, she had a way of making people feel appreciated and cared for. She has a grace and elegance that was to be admired.
I will miss Rudy...Mrs. Norquist and pray that God's love, comfort and peace surround you all at this most difficult time.
Chris, Cindy and Jennifer de Jong (Stuart)

Dear Dick & family
All of our love goes to you and your family. Ruby was one of our favorite people out at Fairmont Hot Springs. The picture you used in this announcement is truly the way we all knew her & we too feel privileged having had her her as one of our cherished friends.
We will always smile when we think of the night that Dick & Ruby were dancing on the lawn behind their car at the Hoodoos. This was shortly after Scott & Dee purchased Hoodoo Mtn. Resort. Scott thought overnighters were responsible for the rowdy noise & soon found out it was 'the old timers' cutting loose. That memory will always keep us smiling.
Cherish the memories
Love & hugs to you all
Don & Linda

Mr Nordquist, Randy, Sandy and family. My heart aches for you all with the loss of "my other mother." Growing up we never had the smarts to know that our Mom's looked after us all, when we needed a morality adjustment with a pat on the rear or just a hug and bandaid I did't have to go home I got it from your mom.
I hope you can take comfort to know the two neighbour lady's are once again enjoying the company of each other and catching as they did when we were growing up.
All our love and support for you all.
Michele and Kevin.

Mrs.Nordquist was a very special lady, in which I will miss dearly. She was like a second Mom to me growing up, and always made me feel very welcome in their home. She always demonstrated a unique blend of class and kindness with a touch of firmness and wisdom in every word she spoke. I will miss the times we had with her in the past few years in B.C. But what I will miss the most is her smile, and gentle gestures towards everyone that was around her. Mr.& Mrs.Nordquist have been an amazing example to me all my life as to what a wife/husband, mother/father should be. Randy, France & Kristina my heart goes out to you and I hope you have some comfort knowing your Mom/Grandmother is now with Dylan. Our prayers are with you all.
