Obituary of Evelyn Mary ANDERSON

Evelyn Mary Anderson passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Friday, May 8, 2015. She was predeceased by her husband Donald in 2011 after fifty eight happy years of marriage.
Evelyn was born in Sault Ste. Marie in 1930. The family moved to Calgary in 1942 with Evelyn graduating from Central High School in 1948. Evelyn was a proud 1951 graduate of the Holy Cross School of Nursing. Leaving Calgary to work at the Elnora Hospital she met her husband Donald and started their family and life together. Returning to Calgary in 1955 she continued to work at the General Hospital until the arrival of their daughter in 1960. Don and Evelyn enjoyed camping, snowmobiling and later wintering in Arizona with friends. Evelyn sang in the choir at Parkdale United Church for many years.
Evelyn is survived by her son Robert Anderson and his children Jason and Erin, her daughter Janice and son-in-law John Parkin and their children Ian and David.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Parkdale United Church (2919 - 8th Avenue N.W.) on Tuesday, May 19 at 2:00 P.M.
