Obituary of Margret GEPPERT

Margret Geppert of Calgary, AB, passed away at the Bethany Care Centre surrounded by her loved ones on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the age of 84 years. Margret was born and raised on a farm in Iceland. She studied at Heidelberg University in Germany where she married, and later moved to Canada. Margaret gave deeply of herself to her family, working numerous jobs while continuing her education, obtaining degrees in biology and a masters in German literature. Margret believed in education and later decided to become a teacher. Margret had a great passion for all of life’s adventures. She especially enjoyed skiing, hiking, canoeing and to travel the world, including many trips to her beloved home of Iceland. Margret will be dearly missed by her family and all those whose lives she touched. A Celebration of Margret’s life will be held at a later date.
