Obituary of Irene Florence DYLER

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Irene Florence Dyler on July 25, 2015. Irene was a loving mother and grandmother. She was born and raised in Calgary and was an avid supporter of Calgary sports teams. Irene was a selfless soul, always willing to help anyone who asked and took great pride in volunteering at her grandson’s school activities. She loved all animals, especially her dogs. She was a feisty lady, having survived 2 bouts with breast cancer and significant heart issues in her later years. Despite her illnesses, she kept her lively spirit and sense of humor right to the end. Irene was predeceased by her husband, William (Bill) Dyler, parents Frederick and Florence Hambly and her siblings Freida (Bob) Grant, Fred (Myrae) Hambly and Mae (Mel) Jones. Left to mourn Irene’s passing are her two sons, Terrance (Jennifer) Dyler and Shawn Dyler, and grandson, Jason Dyler. Irene is also survived by her nieces and nephew, Darlene Lowrie, Bob (Debbie) Grant and Debbie (Dave) Simioli and their families, as well as step-grandchildren Joshua Glicman and Anastasia Glicman , and sisters-in-law Isabel Schultz and Yvonne Dyler and families. She passed peacefully at Rockyview hospital with her family nearby. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank Dr. Mark Vacy-Lyle and all the nurses and doctors in unit 73 for the exceptional care and nurturing they offered her in her last days.
