Lal Singh Rakhra passed away peacefully on August 1, 2015 at the age of 95 years.
Lal Singh was born in Badduwal, Punjab, India on August 1, 1920. He will be dearly missed by his daughters, Nasib(Inderjit Kainth) of Calgary and Balwinder (Balwant Neger) of Lynden; son, Inderjit Rakhra (Bhupinder) of Calgary; as well as eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Lal Singh was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jangir Kaur, and his daughter, Balbir (Ajit Tathgar) of Vancouver.
Traditional Sikh Funeral Services will be held at the Calgary Crematorium Chapel, 3219 – 4th Street N.W. on Saturday, August 8th, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. with prayers to follow at the Dashmesh Cultural Center, 135 Martindale Blvd N.E.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
