Obituary of Johann HARICH

Johann “Hans” Harich, beloved husband of Susanne Harich (nee Penzinger), passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at the age of 87 years.
Hans was born in Mramorak, Yugoslavia. He lived part of his life in Australia and Austria, before immigrating to Canada with his young family in 1960.
This kind, sociable and gentle man, also known as ‘John’ to many of his friends, who loved gardening and storytelling, will be remembered for his generous and friendly demeanour.
He was especially loved and will be dearly missed by his children Christine Haigh, Alexander (Susan), and Andrew (Carrie), grandchildren James, Michelle, Jonas, Nicolla, and his great-grandchildren Roman and Ashlee. In addition to his family in Canada, Hans is survived by his sister Kristina Sakac, brother Rudolf (Lisa), sister Elisabetha Hinzmann (Winfried), along with many nieces and nephews in Germany.
Hans was predeceased by his beloved father Friedrich, mother Kristina, sister Katerina, and brothers Karl, Fritz, and Franz.
A Memorial Service will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 2:00pm. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
