Our favourite family memory is sitting around Ditte's table eating her wonderful homemade rye bread. Ditte's was more than a neighbour and friend, she was the warmest caring person I ever had the honour of meeting. Although our time in Lomond was short, I always cherished our time. We will miss you Grandma Ditte. You and Kjeld welcomed a lonely little Chinese kid into your family and I appreciate it to this day. I grew up with your kids in Lomond and always cherished you. I would give the kids 'heck' once in awhile when they talked back to you or something. I would say, "If you didn't have a mom like me, you'd appreciate yours more." Kid logic. Thank you for helping raise the extra adopted son. I grew up 'Danish' and I know to this day that a lot of my convictions about the importance of family came from growing up in your family. Thank you for the extended family that I always have had. I know you are with Grandpa Kjeld now and my heart is at peace.
