Obituary of Karen Ruth LANG

Ruth Lang of Calgary, Alberta passed away peacefully on Monday, September 21, 2015 at the age of 85 years. Ruth and her husband Willie immigrated to Calgary from Denmark in 1957 with their two young children. Ruth was a great support to Willie in his successful cabinet-making and construction business in Calgary. Ruth is survived by her daughter Birthe Levie of Victoria, BC, and her dear friend Jack Gammel of Calgary. Other survivors include her son Ole (Anne) Lang, her grandchildren Robyn Lang and Richard (Ayessa) Lang, great-grandchildren Graydon Sheardown and Jakob Lang, all of Calgary, as well as several nieces and nephews and their families in Denmark. Ruth is predeceased by her husband Herluf ‘Willie’ Lang in 1994. A Memorial Service will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to The Alzheimer Society of Calgary, Suite 201, 222 – 58th Avenue S.W., Calgary, AB T2H 2S3, Telephone: (403)290-0110, www.alzheimercalgary.com.
