Obituary of Fayne Anne BROUWERS

Fayne Brouwers passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the Foothills Medical Centre, Palliative Care Unit at the age of 75 years. Fayne was raised in Taber, Alberta and received her Education degree from the University of Alberta. In 1959, she married her husband, Frans, and together they raised their two children. She left her teaching career to help Frans build and manage several successful companies. Later in life Fayne acquired the family homestead and found joy in her garden and caring for orphaned cats and other animals. Fayne will be remembered fondly for her intelligence and independent thinking, as well as her love and generosity towards family, friends and animals. She asked for nothing in return. Fayne leaves behind her husband Frans Brouwers; her son and daughter-in-law Stephen Brouwers and Teresa Giachino, along with their children Elijah and Domenica; her daughter and son-in-law Yvonne Brouwers and Kim Kapp, along with their daughter Sarah; and, her siblings Beverly, Beatrice, Paul and Linda. Her sister Rita predeceases her. As per Fayne’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
