It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald James Pomfret, beloved husband of Patricia Okros, of Calgary on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the age of 56 years.
Ronnie worked many years with CP Rail in Ontario, which brought him to Calgary. Ronnie left CP Rail and wanted to try something different; that is when he got into the Gravel and Crushing Business. He loved it. Ronnie moved around a little bit in the crushing business, taking his boys with him. He will be sadly missed by OUR BOYS Alex Caro, S. (Stuart) Andrew Haggart (Rockpile) and Jordon Entz (Butters). Ronnie was currently employed with Inland Heidelberg here in Calgary. He truly enjoyed his career and the people he worked with.
Ronnie is survived by his loving partner of sixteen years Patricia Okros; stepson Jason Okros; his beautiful Nicky (Crazy Coyote) and Ziggy; son Ronnie and Jay; sister Yvonne and brother-in-law Geoff Taylor; and his beautiful granddaughter Silken as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father James, mother Rose and sister Darlene.
A Celebration of Rons Life will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queens Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.
