Obituary of Margot Lynn WILLISON

On Saturday Morning, November 14, our precious Margot was called to the Lord. There are not enough words to describe the beauty that is Margot. Margot was a loving wife, amazing daughter and sister, an athlete, scholar, giver, and friend. But the love she held most dear to her heart was her beautiful Children, Carter and Holly Margot was the catalyst and the Glue for her family. No one worked harder at making people better and then keeping them together. We will all be forever blessed for what you gave each and every one of us. Margot Graduated from the University of Alberta in 1986 and Recruited by Shell Canada. Margot worked at Shell for 28 years in various positions, her most recent was as Finance Manager of Management Information with Shell’s Heavy oil Division. During her time at Shell, Margot obtained her MBA from the U of C. Margot graduated from her MBA class with the distinction of Beta Gama Sigma which meant she was academically in the top 20% of all MBA graduates in Canada for that year. Margot also spent much time with the Shell Employees Credit Union Board of Directors including her last stint as President of the Board. Margot obtained her CUCA Directors certification in 2014 and was elected to the Alberta Credit Union Central Board of directors representing the South Regions credit Unions. Margot was also appointed to the board for the Alberta Community and Co-operative Association. Margot was also integral in Shell’s involvement with the United way of Calgary. Margot held a leadership status with the United Way and was most recently on the United Way of Calgary’s city wide council. God Bless you Margot. The impact you left on this life will live on forever. Margot is survived by her husband Gary; Her precious Children Carter and Holly; Loving parents Fred and Bonnie and her special brothers Robert and David. Margot will also be missed by her many brothers and sisters in law; nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; cousins, aunts and uncles; friends and colleagues A Memorial Service will be held at Harvest Hills Alliance Church (10099 Harvest Hills Blvd N.W.) on Friday November 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to United Way of Calgary and Area, #600, 1202 Centre Street S.E., Calgary, AB T2G 5A5 Telephone: (403) 231-6265, www.calgaryunitedway.org.
