Obituary of Margaret Alma GILMOUR

Mom passed peacefully after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. She leaves five fabulous children: Lynn, John (Karen), David (Mary), Grant (Darlene), Gordon (Elletta) and thirteen amazing grandchildren: Meagan, Matthew, Riley, Damon, Lucas, Andrew (Monigue), Alyson, Brianna, Gabriela,Brigitte, Quinn,Drew and Cleo.
Mom moved from Lacombe to Calgary where she ran Margaret's Accounting Ltd. until her retirement. She spent winters here and summers at her cottage in Gull Lake where she maintained her lifelong friendships in Lacombe and surrounding areas. Mom was an avid reader and bridge player, an accomplished knitter and keen sports fan. She shared her 89 year journey with many cherished friends and a large extended family including the Gilmours, Halls, Webers and Johnsons.
Thank you for your love and support. Thank you to the wonderful people who helped us through the last few months: Doreen, Nabil, Ivonka, Comfort Keepers and Chinook Hospice.
There will be a Celebration of her Life held on Jan. 23, 2016 @ 2pm, @ 1000 Lake Fraser Court SE.
