Obituary of Vidya JOSHI

Vidya Bushan Joshi, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at the age of 81 years. He was born in India to the late Vidya Dhar Joshi and Kamla Joshi, on August 31, 1932. Vidya was a Carman and First Aid Attendant at Ogden Shops for Canadian Pacific Railway. He received his Bachelor of Education and a Masters in History from Panjab University in India and served as a head master of a public school before immigrating to Canada in 1970. Vidya was simple in his approach to life. He took joy in looking at the green grass, trees, and blue skies. Above all he took such amazing pride in working hard and providing for his family. Off to work he would go with his hard hat and a smile. He gave all those he met a big smile that reflected the sincere gratitude that he had for their presence. Vidya is survived by his wife Nirmal Joshi, four children, two brothers, one sister, and three grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Please forward condolences through www.hffs.com.
