Hello, DeWiel's,
I am the first grand-daughter of Carla, Fredrik's sister. I was given your father's memoir many years ago by my grandmother and only read a quarter of it before it got packed away for a move. I just recently rediscovered it and I wanted to share my appreciation so very much for it. In the last 10 years, I have lost my mother Aranka (Kuky) and my grandmummy (Carla). The memoir is a cherished gift to rediscover and feel connected to their past.
I googled my great uncle to hopefully share my heartfelt thanks for his great act of kindness only to learned he passed 1 year before my grandmother around her birthday. Thank you for making this website so I could find you.
Offering you all my deepest condolences. It seems he was a beautiful and interesting man and he must be greatly missed. I wish I would have had the opportuntiy to sit and chat with him.
