Obituary of Lillian Kogawa

Please share a memory of Lillian to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
KOGAWA, Lillian October 12, 1939 - Haney, British Columbia May 15, 2016 – Calgary, Alberta Lillian Kogawa, beloved wife of Gordon Kogawa, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at the age of 76 years. Lillian loved life and lived it to the fullest. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, travelling, golfing, volunteering, and was an avid fan of watching her grandchildren at various sports and other events. Even after her recent diagnosis of cancer, she continued to enjoy life and made us feel at peace. Her strength and positive attitude was embodied by faith in her Saviour, and she was a constant encouragement to us all. Lillian is survived by Gordon, her loving husband of almost 55 years; daughters, Sandra (Don) and Wanda (Darryn); grandchildren, Monica (Chris), Ian, Dylan, Marissa, Eric, Jamie, Dustin, and Daniel; and great-grandchildren, Lucas, Jace and Mya, as well as numerous precious sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and many others who she considered family. A celebration of Lillian’s life will take place at Harvest Hills Alliance Church (10099 Harvest Hills Blvd N.W., Calgary, AB) on Saturday, May 21 at 2:00pm. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to White Fields Missionary Society of Canada (Box 452, Coaldale, AB, T1M 1M5). We are so grateful to Dr. Lupichuk and team at Tom Baker Centre & Agape Hospice; and friends/family for their support.
