Obituary
Obituary of Doris Eileen WYMAN
Please share a memory of Doris to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Doris, beloved wife of 54 years to Donald Wyman of Calgary, on May 29, 2016 in Calgary, Alberta.
Doris was born in Madden, AB and moved to Calgary to complete high school and business college. While living in a basement suite in Calgary she met and fell in love with the boy next door. They eventually married and built a house in which she resided in until her death. During this time they had a child Cathy-Anne whom married her husband Jim, and they had three daughters. Doris was affectionately known as “Mama” to them and she was extremely proud of her three grandchildren and their numerous accomplishments over the years and will be deeply missed by them.
Doris loved to garden and her backyard was always filled with numerous plants and flowers.
She was an avid hockey fan, and cheered for her Flames.
Doris will be fondly remembered by her family and friends.
Doris is survived by her husband Don, daughter and son-in-law Cathy-Anne and Jim Horne, grandchildren Kristin, Jamie and Brianne, a sister Joyce Roth, a sister-in-law Beth Massie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
Doris was predeceased by her parents Jack and Lydia Massie; sisters and brother-in-laws Phyllis & Melvin Farquharson, and Jean & Keith Cochrane; brother Dale Massie; brother-in-law Harry Roth; and niece Debbie Gundlock.
A private family Memorial Service will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday June 3, 2016 at 2:00p.m.
