Obituary of Judy Agatha TVETER

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear Mother, Judy beloved wife of the late Bernard (Barnie) Tveter of Calgary, passed away on May 30, 2016 at the age of 96 years. As a young women Judy moved to Calgary where she worked for Revenue Canada. It was during this time that she met and married Bernard. When their sons were teens, Judy took a position with Canada Post and retired from there after 25 plus years of service. Judy was a kind and caring person who never spoke ill of anyone. She loved springtime and her favourite pastime was gardening. She always had a “big hello” for those she held dear. Judy is survived by her sons Royd and Orlo and their families, sister Stella, and sister-in-law Irene. Judy was predeceased by her husband Bernard, her parents Andrew and Frances Rafa, sister Carrie, brothers Stan, Adam, Lou, Frank and Steve. Special thanks go out to the caring staff of Bethany's Central Point and to Dr. Albuquerque, who made Judy's last days a little more comfortable. Funeral Services will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, starting with Visitation at 12:15pm, Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m, and Graveside Prayers to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
