It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Doug H. Johnstone; our father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, on Wednesday, June 29th, 2016. He will be dearly missed by those he leaves behind: his children Malcolm, James, Adam (Theresa), Christina and Kaytee; his grandchildren Jamie-Leigh & Jade and Abigael & Mckinley; his sister Kathy (Bill); his nieces Teresa (John) & Michele (Ed); and his countless friends. Doug touched each and every life around him and has left behind a legacy of love and beautiful memories that will continue to live on through us all. The family would like to thank the staff at Calgary Crematorium & Funeral Services for their kindness, caring and support during this difficult time. An open-house style Celebration of Doug’s Life will be held at Jack Astor’s Bar & Grill located at 9823 Macleod Trail SW from 1-4pm on Saturday, September 10th, 2016. All are welcome to stop by, children are permitted.
