Obituary of Donna Marie KUKULSKI

Donna Kukulski beloved wife of Brian Kukulski of Calgary, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016 at the age of 59 years after a courageous and graceful 9 year battle with cancer. Donna was born on February 19, 1957 to Norman and Myrtle Merriam, the 4th of 6 children, in Edmonton, Alberta. She grew up on the family farm near Thorsby, Alberta. After graduating from high school, while looking through a NAIT catalog listing possible careers, she selected the Dental Technology program. After graduation, she moved to Calgary and met Brian Kukulski through a mutual friend. They knew right away that they were perfect for each other and were married on Oct 8, 1983. They moved to New Brunswick where Donna opened her first dental lab. A year later they moved back to Calgary and Donna opened another dental lab in Calgary, Bow Valley Dental Lab, her passion, pride and joy which she operated until 2011 when breast cancer returned. Donna was very artistic and creative; she loved her work and hobbies, which included growing beautiful orchids and painting lovely artwork. Having been raised on a farm, gardening was in her blood and every year a garden had to be planted. Ross was born in 1987 and Diane followed in 1991. She was always very involved with the children and always seemed to just know what to do for the family. She is survived by her mother Myrtle, husband Brian, son Ross, daughter Diane and siblings Betty, Dennis, Joan, Kathy and Herb and many nieces and nephews. She was a perfect mother, a loving wife and a cherished friend. We will miss you always and you will be forever in our hearts. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to a charity of your choice in Donna’s memory.
