I had the privilege of knowing Max and enjoyed conversations with him over a number of years before his passing. We spoke weekly if not daily via emails and frequently spoke on the telephone.
Typical to Max the last time I spoke with him he had a cellphone hidden in his ICU bed and telephoned me even sending a photo from the last fall he had taken.
When I had. It heard from him in a few weeks I was afraid he had passed away. A mutual friend from Rossland, BC notified me.
I had great respect for Max and considered him a friend. I will think of him often and miss him.
