Obituary of Bikar Singh BAINS

Bikar Singh Bains will always be remembered as strong and courageous, a loving family man who always supported his wife and children. Growing up Bikar was a very talented wrestler and weight lifter. He competed and won tournaments on a regular basis. Everyone in his birth place of Chella Punjab knew of his great physical and emotional strength. In 1986 Bikar came to Canada with his family and lived in Abeydale, Calgary. He started working at dynasty furniture as a production worker. After manufacturing furniture for 14 years, he retired in 1997. After moving several times, Bikar moved to Falcon Ridge and resided there for 25 years. Bikar was always very involved in the community and visited the Gurdwara and senior center daily. He was served as pardan of the senior center for 5 years, volunteering his time and hardwork to improve our community. Bikar was lucky enough to have 7 children, Jageer Kaur, Balvir Kaur, Balwinder Kaur, Amarjeet Kaur, Sarbjit Kaur, Sukhdev Singh, and Daljit Kaur. All of his children successfully married and had children of their own. After years of hard work, Bikar and all of his children were able to make a very good life for themselves. Bikar, with help from his son was able to purchase a house for himself in the Hamptons, close to his children. Bikar will always be remembered as a role model. Strong, courageous, and loyal to his family.
