It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved son, Johnny on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at the age of 21 years.
Johnny was born in Winnipeg, MB on April 27, 1995. In his short life, he lived in Winnipeg and surrounding area, then in Gibsons, Abbottsford, and Mission, BC, finally settling in Calgary in 2002, where he attended Catherine Nichols Gunn School, as well as Arbour Lake School and William Aberhart High School. Most recently Johnny was apprenticing with Pro Western Mechanical, a position that he very much enjoyed.
Johnny is survived by his parents, Carol and Cam Chomyn, Dwight Funk Sr.; brothers, Joey Funk, Dwight Funk Jr, and Kyle Chomyn; as well as sisters, Amy Chomyn and Nicole Chomyn.
A Celebration of Life for Johnny will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 2:30 p.m.
