Dearest Tina,
Claudette Steier sent me the sad news,....All my condolences, I wish you and the boys a lot of strength in these difficult times. Even though I am in Belgium, I do remember all the good times we spent together and I have never forgotten our friendship.

To myself and many others around me, Randy was a great person. It strikes me deeply that he will be gone. If I had to say anything about the man, I would have to relate to others how his stalwart disposition was sincerely revered by myself. A lot of us "boys" out there aspire to be men. Randy was the type of character who lived by 'example' and just demonstrated how to be so. Randy was a loyal friend, a dedicated father (who genuinely cared for his boys and family) who possessed that silent, strong, stalwart integrity that most will never know. Randy was 'all man', but in the best way humanly possible. To this regard he was one of the very few friend /role model types in my life where he, although operating in a sea of adverse types and lesser men, had risen above -and always stayed there. Although unlikely to say with most, as I knew him, he was one who truly had never shorted, cheated or compromised his integrity as a man in any noticeable way, with anyone ...ever. I watched this in him and know this as a human being. I am certain the others who knew Randy also know this. For this 'way he was', he will always have a place in my mind, heart and prayers. He was a dude. A great dude.
