Obituary of Olive Audrey HUTTON

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Olive Audrey Hutton on Monday, October 31, 2016 at the age of 91 years.
Ollie, as known to her family and friends, was a kind, compassionate and gentle soul who greeted everyone with her warm smile. She was an active volunteer in the community. She was a teaching assistant at Northminster United Church, Sunday School and a Brownie Leader known as ‘Snowy Owl’. One of Ollie’s favourite activities was meeting her friends for Tai Chi classes at the Thorncliffe Community Centre. In her free time Ollie enjoyed painting and drawing. She had a keen artistic eye. She also liked crafting and creating many beautiful and intricate needlepoint and beadwork pieces.
Ollie will be forever remembered by her children Colleen Cooper and Jim (Coleen) Hutton, her sister Norma Ramsay, and granddaughter Nicole Cooper (Nick Smith).
Olive was predeceased by her loving husband Jake and her brothers Fred and Ralph McFadden.
In compliance with Olive’s wishes there will be no service.
We would like to thank the nurses and staff at both the Harbours of Newport Retirement Residence, and most recently the Brentwood Care Centre for their exemplary care of our mom over the past several years.
