It is with heavy hearts that the family of Dar Weatherill announce her sudden passing on Saturday, November 5, 2016 in Okotoks, AB.
Dar was one of the strongest, kindest, and most loving people one could ever meet. Her family always came first and she had special bonds with each and every one of her children. She also loved music, playing instruments, singing and enjoyed those family gatherings where music brought everyone joy. She also had a love for animals like no one else; her dogs were like kids, and she loved them and they loved her.
Dar is survived by daughters, Debbie Weston and Val (Rudy) Vanderlaan; son, Robin Weatherill; grandchildren, Dave, Gord, Jodi, Michael, Denim (Jaclyn), and Cory (Amanda); great-grandchildren, Shaylene, Jaden, Kalaya, Jaxen, Kamryn, Caley, Sarah, Mia, Ava, Korra, Tyler, Austin, Levi, and Logan; her only sister, Delores Hoffart; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Dar was predeceased by her common-law husband, Al Heaton; parents, Harvey and Tilley Goodkey; and her children, Kelly and Kathy Weatherill.
Gone but never forgotten!
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 in Strathmore, AB.
