Obituary of Ronald George LELLIOTT
Please share a memory of Ronald to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ronald George Lelliott of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at the age of 72 years.
Ron was born to William George and Freda Lelliott on October 3, 1944 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where he resided until 1966. He then moved to Vancouver B.C. to seek his fortune. His sales career in the Agricultural Industry has taken him across Canada numerous times. But his home base has always been in the West, in most recent times he lived in Bragg Creek and Calgary. Ron’s favourite hobbies were camping, fishing and hunting, but he mostly enjoyed being a father and spending quality time with his two adopted children. He also became fascinated with Intarsia art and created many memorable works, which are cherished by family and friends. Cooking was another one of his passions. He always had a freezer full of homemade foods like perogies, runzas and homemade sausage for company. Ron retired in 2009 at the age of 65, and enjoyed this time of his life before becoming ill in 2014.
He is survived by his children, Danica Mary Lelliott of Nanaimo, British Columbia and Brendt Hamilton Lelliott of Calgary, Alberta; as well as his siblings, Russell William Lelliott of Winnipeg and Randolph Nelson Lelliott of Winnipeg.
A private family service was held at Crawling Valley Reservoir, where he loved to fish.
